U12 Reds Awards Posted on 01/07/2017

All players in our u12 squads have had a great season and developed well. Both teams played competitively in the League for the 1st time this season and both finished mid table in the Red Division (top division). They also took part in County Cup & League Vup competitions and did well. The U12 Reds reached the 1/4 final of the County Cup.

Some of our u12's travelled to Holland to take part in the Aviko Cup where they played an u13 11 a side tournament . This was a great tournament where we came 2nd in our group on day 1 and finished just outside top 3 overall. We also took an u13 squad to participate in the Aces National Finals tournament. The boys played fantastically in blazing heat and won their group. They then won their top 16 game before sadly being beaten 1-0 by Derby in the quarter finals.

A few stand out achievements to mention are: early in the season Will signed for Arsenal U12's. He has since gone on to be offered a 2 year contract. James secured trials at Stevenage and played in a number of fixtures for them against academy sides. Great work. Sebastian (u11 playing up at u12) trialled with Norwich and played fixtures against Tottenham & Fulham. He has remained training with Norwich at their Centre of Excellence all season. He also impressed during a game v Watford and has spent 14 weeks at Watford's pre Academy. Rio (u11 playing at u12) secured a 6 week trial with Norwich and played against a number of pro clubs with them. Alfie-Nico impressed Watford during a game and has spent 5 weeks training with Watford's pre Academy.
